Ugh, I just can't believe I messed up so badly. I saw gold going up this morning and thought, 'This is it, time to make some serious money!' So I bought in at like 4580, feeling so smart. Now look at it, it's dropped all the way back down to 4530s and my account is bleeding. I’m just staring at the screen, my stomach in knots. Should I just cut my losses now before it goes even lower? I really thought this was going to be a winner this time.

Hey @chloe7579, I totally get what you're going through. It's so frustrating when you see gold making moves and you jump in, thinking you've caught the wave, but then it turns around and hits you. Happened to me last week too, bought around 4580 thinking it was going to blast off, and then it just tanked. My account looked like a disaster zone! It's tempting to just cut losses, but sometimes these things are just fakeouts, you know, like an inducement to get people out. Maybe it'll bounce back? It's hard to tell when you're in the middle of it and seeing red everywhere. I'm still learning how to deal with the emotional side of trading, especially when my money is on the line. Don't beat yourself up too much, we're all trying to figure this out.
