I'm relatively new to trading, and I'm trying to understand how to best interpret the interplay between different indicators. For example, if the SMA 20 crosses above the SMA 50, but the RSI is showing overbought conditions, how should I weigh those signals when making trading decisions on XAUUSD? Does anyone have a good resource or strategy for reconciling conflicting signals? I understand that no indicator is perfect, but I'm looking for a systematic approach to risk assessment and decision-making. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@stephanie89 Stephanie, that's a classic dilemma. When indicators conflict, there's no easy answer. Imo, look at the bigger picture. Is gold in a long-term uptrend? If so, the overbought RSI might just mean strong momentum, not necessarily a reversal. Consider using other indicators too, like Fibonacci levels, or look at price action for confirmation. Don't rely on just two signals. And remember risk management!
