Hey @joshuathomas, totally get where you're coming from about leverage. It's so tempting to go big when you see those big candles, but then you get caught out like you said. I'm still new and honestly, I'm scared to even use 2x leverage, let alone 5x! My plan is to stick to spot buying for now and maybe try very small leverage on a demo account first. Can't afford to get margin called like that.

Also, @liambaker31, your point about volume is spot on. I'm watching BTCUSD now and it feels like it's pushing higher, but the RSI is just hanging around 55, which isn't screaming bullish. Could be that smart money is just trying to sweep the lows before a bigger move, or it could be a fakeout. Hard to tell with this kind of choppy action.
Plus, trying to scalp with high leverage feels like playing with fire when you're still learning the patterns.
