This overnight trading session for XAUUSD has been quite frustrating, to be honest. I entered a short position expecting a retest of the 50 SMA around 4743, but the price just kept pushing higher. The slippage on my entry was almost 15 pips, which is unacceptable for a scalping strategy. Then, when I tried to close it for a small loss, the spread widened so much I ended up taking a bigger hit than anticipated. It feels like the brokers are taking advantage during these less liquid hours, just making it harder to execute trades cleanly. I might need to re-evaluate my entry and exit strategy during these overlap sessions.
