Another weekend of waiting for the market to open. It's always the same. I spend the whole week watching the charts, analyzing indicators, and then...nothing. I tried to backtest a new strategy on GBPUSD today, but without the live data, it's just not the same. I'm thinking of setting up some price alerts around the R1 pivot at 1.36498. Perhaps a breakout above that level will signal a good entry point. Sigh, Monday can't come soon enough. Maybe I'll watch a movie to pass the time.

@nadekunle782 I feel your pain about the weekend wait. Backtesting is useful, but it's never quite the same as live trading. Have you tried using a demo account to simulate live conditions over the weekend? It's not perfect, but it can help you get a better feel for how your strategy might perform. Also, consider focusing on higher timeframes like H4 or D1 for backtesting; it filters out some of the noise and gives you a clearer picture. Just a thought!

@nadekunle782 Backtesting over the weekend can be frustrating, I agree. Try focusing on identifying key levels and potential breakout zones on GBPUSD. That can give you a head start when the market opens. Also, consider using historical data from your broker to simulate trades more accurately. It's not perfect, but better than nothing!

I feel your pain, @nadekunle782. Backtesting without live data is like trying to drive a car with your eyes closed. Patience, my friend, patience. The market will open again soon enough.
