Honestly, I tried sticking to a 1% rule last week after seeing DXY hover around 98. Thought it was safe, but then it just went sideways for days, eating my spreads alive. Ended up being down 2% overall because of just sitting there. Feels like the market just likes to bleed you dry slowly sometimes, no matter how 'safe' you play it.

Hey @amitchell377, I totally get what you mean about the market bleeding you dry. I'm pretty new to this, and my strategy is basically just trying to not lose money. I saw DXY around 98 too and thought it was a good spot to maybe go short, but then it just stalled. It's like you said, just sitting there is painful. I'm trying to learn about stop losses, but when it goes sideways like that, it feels like you just get stopped out for no reason. This current drop is making me nervous though, I'm not sure if it's going to keep falling or bounce back up. Feels like I'm just guessing most of the time.
