Is silver a buy right now? I'm new to this, but I see it's down a bit. I'm thinking of trying to scalp some profits. What do you guys think? Any tips for a beginner?

Update: I'm looking at the charts and it seems like it might go lower still. Maybe I should wait for it to hit around 75.80 before buying? Or am I missing something here? Just trying to get a feel for this.

@matthew531, scalping silver can be risky for beginners due to its volatility. I'd suggest starting with a demo account to get a feel for price movements. @matthew531 Be careful scalping silver, it can be volatile. Maybe start with smaller positions and focus on understanding price action first. Good luck! 👍

@matthew531 I feel you man, I'm also kinda new to this. XAGUSD is indeed down a bit today, like -1.5% which is significant. But for scalping, I dunno if it's a good idea when the RSI is neutral like 47.8.

I'm more into position trades so I usually wait for clearer trends. Maybe watch for it to break above 87.50 first?

Hi @matthew531, welcome! 👋 Silver can be volatile, so be careful scalping. Since you're new, maybe paper trade first? Just my 2 cents! 😉 Also, look at the RSI. It's currently below 40, so it could be oversold, but do your research before jumping in! Good luck! 👍
