Something I noticed is how often XAUUSD sweeps the lows before reversing. It's like the market makers are hunting for stops before making a real move. So now, I tend to set my stops a bit wider than I used to. Also, watching order blocks on the H4 chart can give you a heads up on potential reversals. D1 is showing some consolidation tho, so be careful golong.
