Weekend thoughts on DXY. Friday's close at 99.91 with that 0.34% jump was pretty solid. RSI was already high, so that push higher definitely caught my eye. This oil news about prices spiking and stagflation fears definitely has me thinking about what happens next week. Will the dollar keep this strength, or will it all reverse?

Hi @peakview489, yeah I saw that jump on Friday too! It kinda made me nervous cause my RSI was already looking pretty high and I thought it might be due for a pullback, but then it just kept going up lol. That oil news is wild though, seriously making me think about stagflation. If prices keep going up and the economy slows, does that mean the dollar usually gets stronger or weaker? I'm so confused when all these big events happen at once. I feel like I'm just guessing when I trade DXY around these news releases. I wish someone would just tell me what to do, but I guess that's not how it works, right? NFA obviously!

Hey @peakview489, I hear you on that RSI. Friday's close did look a bit overextended, but honestly, with all this geopolitical noise about oil and the dollar looking strong against CHF, I'm not surprised it's holding. I'm watching that 100.00 level like a hawk, thinking a break above could really ignite things if the news keeps favoring USD.
