Has anyone else noticed the recent volatility in GBPUSD? It seems to be reacting strongly to even minor news releases. I'm finding it challenging to establish a clear entry point with the current market conditions. Perhaps waiting for a confirmed breakout above the 50-day SMA would be a prudent approach. Thoughts?

Update: further to my earlier post about GBPUSD volatility, I've been examining the H4 chart. The RSI is currently below 40, suggesting potential oversold conditions. However, the overall trend remains bearish, as indicated by the SMAs. I am considering a small long position if the price retraces to the 1.3560 area, with a tight stop-loss just below S1 at 1.3540. This is purely a speculative trade based on a potential short-term bounce, not a long-term investment strategy. Risk management is key in these uncertain times. I will keep you updated on any developments.
