Well, I closed out my short position on DXY from earlier this week. Took a small loss. I was anticipating a pullback at the 99.00 level, but it just kept pushing higher. Should have paid more attention to the RSI being overbought, but live and learn I guess. Need to re-evaluate my strategy for this pair.

Actually, thinking about that short position I closed... I might have jumped the gun a bit. The 20 and 50 SMAs are still showing bullish momentum. I was too focused on that initial resistance level and ignored the broader trend. The geopolitical news probably added fuel to the fire, too.

I'm going to wait for a clearer signal before re-entering. Maybe a pullback to the 99.20 level or a confirmed breakout above 99.60. Definitely need to be more patient and less reactive next time. Risk management is key.

@rmartin230, don't beat yourself up too much mate. The DXY has been tricky lately with all the news driving it. Those SMAs can be lagging indicators sometimes, and market sentiment can shift fast.
