XAUUSD Feb 13
Is anyone else finding XAUUSD a bit unpredictable lately? I'm trying to use the Bollinger Bands to get a sense of potential entry and exit points, but it feels like the price is just bouncing around. Any tips on how to better read the signals when the market is this choppy?

Actually, maybe I should just stay out for now. Better to be safe than sorry, especially with gold being so volatile.

Update: I'm wondering if I should wait for a clearer breakout above R1 (around 5006) before considering a long position. Or maybe even wait for it to test the S1 pivot at 4960 again. I'm still learning about support and resistance levels, and I'm a little nervous about entering a trade when the price is so close to the 50 SMA. I don't want to get caught in a false breakout. Any thoughts?

@apexhunt570 I agree, XAUUSD is choppy. Bollinger Bands can be tough in these conditions. Try looking at a higher timeframe like H4 to filter out some of the noise. Also, consider adding another indicator like the MACD to confirm your signals. No indicator is perfect though!

@apexhunt570 Bollinger Bands can be tough in choppy markets. Have you tried looking at the RSI or MACD for confirmation? Sometimes combining indicators helps. 😉
