Seriously can't sleep, the Asian session was wild and now London is kicking off with some volatility. Saw that news about energy costs pushing the ECB's hand, which makes sense for the Euro side of things but how is that impacting GBPUSD directly? I'm seeing some mixed signals. The RSI is sitting around 59, pretty neutral, but we're bumping up against the pivot point at 1.3297. Then you've got the 50 SMA just below at 1.3291 acting as support. I was hoping to see a cleaner move above the R1 at 1.3317 but it's just not committing. Feels like we could get a fakeout here.

Ella, the energy news is definitely a factor for EUR, but for GBPUSD, I'm watching the broader risk sentiment. We saw that DXY attempt to recover earlier but it seems to be losing steam again. My experience shows that when the dollar falters, especially during the London/NY overlap, GBPUSD tends to find upward momentum, pushing past resistance levels like R1.
