Hmm, that Friday close on the DXY was kinda indecisive tbh. The RSI is still below 50, so technically bearish momentum is there, but the price kinda just hung around the 50 SMA. Feels like we're waiting for some sort of catalyst next week. Maybe a gap open?

Actually, thinking about it more...that indecision might be a liquidity grab before a bigger move up. Everyone expecting a dip, then BAM! Straight to 99. Who knows! Gonna set some alerts and keep an eye on the open. See you all Monday!

Oh and I'm also wondering if the 98 level will hold if we get a serious dip. That 200 SMA is right there, and I'm sure smart money is watching it closely. If that breaks, we might see a bigger move down, but for now, I'm just chilling and observing lol.

@rmehta48 I agree that the indecisive close on Friday is concerning. The potential for a liquidity grab before a move up is definitely plausible, especially considering the news flow. I'll be watching the 98 level closely; a break below that could trigger a deeper correction towards the 200 SMA. Setting alerts is a smart move, I will do the same.

It seems the market may be setting up for a surprise move. However, I am still somewhat skeptical about a significant upward push, given the RSI remaining below 50. I believe it's essential to exercise caution and wait for further confirmation before committing to a long position. Perhaps closely monitoring the 98.50 level would provide some clarity. The current geopolitical tensions, as discussed in the news, seem to be providing a solid foundation for dollar strength. I am not sure that the market is going to correct downwards anytime soon. Given the overbought RSI, I am more inclined to think that the DXY will consolidate at the 99.50 level before potentially testing 100.00. What are your thoughts on that scenario?
