Okay, so XAUUSD is at 5193 and the trend is neutral. As a beginner, I'm trying to reconcile my desire to be a 'scalper' with my actual goal of long-term retirement investing in gold. It's like my brain is trying to trade both H1 charts and D1 charts at the same time and getting dizzy!
How do you experienced traders manage to look for those long-term gains when the short-term movements are so tempting? Is there a trick to using indicators like Bollinger bands or pivots for small, quick practice trades without losing sight of the bigger picture? I feel like I'm trying to catch butterflies while planning to build a house, lol.
