So, I've been trying this scaling strategy with silver. I enter with a small position, and if it goes my way, I add more. But if it goes against me, I only add a little bit more to lower my average entry price. Then when it retraces I can close for small profit or break even. Anyone else do this? It's kinda stressful but it has been working for me

@jennifer91 I've tried scaling strategies too, but with silver's volatility, it can be tough. What timeframe are you using? The problem I see is that you can end up averaging down into a losing position that just keeps going lower... and lower... and lower lol. It's basically catching a falling knife, especially with silver. Maybe try using tighter stop losses or waiting for more confirmation before adding to your position? Wave analysis can help you identify potential turning points, but it's not a crystal ball. Just be careful out there, silver can get you rekt real fast.

Hey @jennifer91, I get the scaling idea too. It can be smart if you have clear levels and manage your risk. I've been trying to do something similar with XAGUSD but honestly, the volatility lately makes me a bit nervous about averaging down too much. I prefer to set my SL and stick to it, less stress overnight!
