Last week I got caught in a nasty dead cat bounce on a short I took. Thought it was breaking down hard around 71k, so I went full margin short. It rallied for like 3 hours straight, wiped me out. Lesson learned? Never assume a break is real until you see some serious displacement and follow-through. Now I wait for confirmation, even if it means missing a few quick moves. Patience is key, especially when leverage is involved. High risk, high reward, but mostly just high stress if you rush it.

Kavita, I feel you on that dead cat bounce. It's brutal. They lure you in with a fake breakdown and then bam, stop hunt city. Saw that play out on BTCUSD earlier this week too. They got people shorting around 71k like crazy, then pumped it to clear every stop. This market's rigged for retail, plain and simple. Next time, wait for that displacement like you said, but honestly, I'd just avoid getting short in this kind of chop.
