Looking at the XAUUSD chart over the past week, it's clear we saw significant volatility. Friday's close above 4490 was a strong move, especially considering the earlier geopolitical news that pushed it towards 4500. The 50-day SMA is still acting as resistance around 4459, but the price managed to stay above the 20-day SMA. I'm watching to see if this upward momentum continues into next week, or if we'll see a gap down on Monday due to weekend sentiment.
