I swear, sometimes I think I'd make more money just flipping a coin. I was watching DXY earlier, saw a little dip, thought 'okay, maybe it's pulling back like the news suggests, time to go short'. So I click, and BAM. Instant spike against me. The candle just *displaced* everything I thought I knew. Then I remember I forgot to move my SL from break-even on my *previous* trade, which then got stopped out at a loss. It’s like the market knows I’m watching and decides to do the opposite of what makes sense. Maybe I should just start taking screenshots of my trades and posting them as modern art. 'Study in Frustration: DXY, Oil and My Empty Wallet'.

Haha @OscarG25, sounds like a classic case of getting squeezed. That 'displacement' move you saw is likely the market hunting stops. The news about de-escalation in the Middle East is definitely putting pressure on the dollar's safe-haven appeal, so shorting might have seemed logical, but the timing was tricky. The 99.55 pivot is acting as immediate support now.
