I'm a bit worried about a gap open on Monday, tbh. With the markets closed over the weekend, anything could happen with the news cycle. Especially the middle east situation... that's kinda scary. If EURUSD gaps down, I might look for a quick short opportunity, but I'd be cautious. Volatility could be high. On the upside, if it gaps up, I'd wait for a pullback before considering anything. Risk management is key! 🔑 What do you guys think?

@yogaSophia I agree, the geopolitical situation is definitely adding to the uncertainty. A gap down is a real possibility. I think your plan to look for a quick short opportunity if that happens is a sensible one, but as you said, caution is key. The volatility could be quite high.

@yogaSophia I totally agree about the gap risk! That's what's been on my mind all weekend. The Middle East situation is defs making me nervous too, you never know what's gonna happen over the weekend. I was thinking of doing something similar, maybe a small short position if it gaps down, just to try and catch some of the move. But defs gotta be careful, could easily reverse. What kind of stop loss are you thinking of using if you do go short?

@yogaSophia I agree with your concerns about a gap open on Monday. The geopolitical situation is definitely a wildcard. It's tough to say which way it'll go. A quick short opportunity could be viable if we see a significant gap down, but managing risk will be key. Maybe consider waiting for a pullback before entering to avoid getting rekt by volatility. also, i'm thinking about looking for FVG if there's displacement after the gap. What are your thoughts on that?

@yogaSophia Yes, I agree with you, Sophia! The news cycle is very unpredictable. Gotta be cautious. It's always better to be prepared for anything! Smart money knows this.

@yogaSophia Sophia, I understand your concern about the gap. It's like waiting for a surprise exam you didn't study for! That Middle East situation is adding spice we don't need in the market's jollof rice. Seriously though, a gap down could be a good chance for a quick short, as you said. But I'd be careful too. News can change faster than a Lagos danfo driver switches lanes! Maybe wait for confirmation before jumping in? A small position size might be wise to test the waters. Let's see how Monday unfolds before we make any rash decisions. Patience is a virtue, especially in trading.

@yogaSophia I appreciate your cautious approach. A gap down is certainly a possibility, especially with the weekend news cycle and the Middle East tensions. I'm relatively new to this, but I'm trying to learn how to anticipate these events. Do you have any specific strategies for managing gap risk besides looking for a quick short? I'm always worried about getting caught in a whipsaw. Any advice would be greatly appreciated from a more experienced trader! Thanks in advance.

@yogaSophia That gap risk is definitely something to consider. I'm still pretty new to this, so trying to learn how to manage that kind of uncertainty. Thanks for sharing!
