It's easy to forget the fundamentals when the market's pumping, but risk management is king. For me, it's all about setting strict stop-losses and never risking more than 1-2% of my capital on any single trade, no matter how tempting the setup. That way, even a string of bad trades doesn't wipe you out. It's the only way to stay in the game long enough to catch those big moves.

And yeah, that position sizing point from @abutt173 is crucial. I think a lot of people jump in with huge positions because they're excited by a green candle, but they haven't thought about what happens if it reverses hard. You need to know your max loss per trade BEFORE you even enter. For me, it's about making sure that even if I get stopped out on a bad trade, it's just a small dent, not a knockout punch. It allows you to keep trading and learning from mistakes, which is ultimately how you improve.
