Man, what a wild Friday close for GBPUSD. Dropped a good chunk, felt like the dollar just woke up and decided to party. Wondering if this is gonna lead to a gap open on Monday or if things will just grind sideways. Honestly, this whole waiting game is killing me, can't wait for the markets to fire up again.

Actually, thinking more about that dollar weakening news… if the dollar really is losing its safe-haven appeal because of policy divergence, that could mean GBPUSD has more room to run upwards, especially if the UK economy isn't doing too bad. I was kinda expecting a drop to like 1.3300 or even lower, but maybe that dollar sentiment shift changes things. This whole geopolitical risk thing with oil prices going nuts could also play a role, but it's confusing if that helps or hurts the dollar. So yeah, my initial thought about it just grinding sideways might be off. Could be a gap up if Monday opens with that dollar weakness narrative carrying over. Gotta keep an eye on that. NFA, obviously.
