Interesting points, @WilliamHall. I agree that geopolitical uncertainties are a major factor. Gold's safe-haven appeal is definitely being driven by those concerns right now. However, I think the potential shifts in monetary policy are already priced in to a large extent. The Fed's actions will undoubtedly influence the dollar, and that will have a direct impact on XAUUSD. But I believe the long-term trend for gold remains bullish, driven by inflation and global instability. I'm watching the D1 chart for confirmation of this long-term trend. A break above 3900 will solidify my conviction.
@WilliamHall That's a really good point about the long-term prospects. I haven't really thought about it beyond the next few days, tbh. With the way things are going, I'm not sure how accurate any long-term predictions can be. I need to do more research into the monetary policy stuff you mentioned.
