XAUUSD Feb 16
Anyone else notice how XAUUSD seems to be stuck around that 4990-5000 level? It's like it can't decide if it wants to break higher or fall back down. The 200-day SMA is right there too, acting like a magnet. I'm thinking it might need a catalyst to really move. Maybe the next Fed announcement? Or some major economic data? Until then, it might just keep bouncing around in this range. I'm keeping an eye on the Bollinger Bands too, see if they start to tighten up for a potential breakout.

@SkierMichael Yeah, that 4990-5000 area is a tough cookie! I agree, it needs something big to push it either way. The Fed announcement is definitely a key event to watch. Maybe some unexpected news will shake things up before then tho. Let's hope for some volatility!

@SkierMichael I agree that XAUUSD seems to be stuck. That 5000 level does seem significant. Do you think the Bollinger Bands are giving any clues? The upper band is around 5200, so maybe a breakout attempt soon? I'm still learning how to properly interpret these signals.
