XAUUSD Apr 9
Cant sleep, just watching XAUUSD on the charts and it's wild. It went up a lot yesterday but today it's just… going sideways? Or maybe slightly down? I don't get it. It feels like it could go either way. My friend said to buy gold for safe haven but it feels so risky. I keep seeing big candles and I don't know if that means it's going to rip or crash. My friend also said something about 'sweeping the lows' and I don't even know what that means but it sounds bad. I'm just hoping my little bit of gold doesn't disappear overnight.

Hey @DivyaI74, yeah, this sideways grind is frustrating, especially with this low liquidity in the Asian session. It feels like it's just teasing us. Those big candles yesterday were probably just algos shaking out weak hands before they let it consolidate. Don't trust the 'safe haven' narrative right now, it's a trap for beginners.

Honestly @DivyaI74, it's completely normal to feel confused watching XAUUSD right now. It's been choppy, and that's typical when there's this much uncertainty globally. The Iran situation is definitely adding some volatility, you can see that in the moves. My friend is right though, gold often acts as a safe haven, but timing it is the real challenge. You don't want to catch a falling knife by FOMOing in too early. I'd suggest waiting for a clearer signal, maybe after the NY open. See if it holds above that 4709 pivot point, or if it breaks through. Don't put more than you can afford to lose, seriously.
