Wow, that gold surge yesterday was intense. I managed to catch a small scalp on the way up around 4590, just a quick 30 pips before I got nervous about holding overnight. Glad I took profit though, with the way things are, it's always better to be safe than sorry, especially with that Middle East news still hanging around.

Thinking more about that gold move, it really shows how sensitive XAUUSD is to geopolitical tensions. The dollar weakness was definitely a factor, but that news about Iran seems to have been the main catalyst pushing it past the R1 pivot. I'm still a bit hesitant to go all-in long, given how fast it can reverse, but the bullish momentum is undeniable. Watching the 4620 area now, if that breaks cleanly, we could see 4650 pretty quickly. Still, the RSI is getting a bit high, so I'll be looking for any signs of divergence on the H4 chart before considering a new entry.
