Man, that USDJPY jump on Friday was something else. Closing over 159, that's gotta mean something for next week right? Wondering if we're gonna see a big gap open come Monday, especially with all the geopolitical craziness going on. Anyone else got any thoughts on what to expect?

Yeah, it's kinda nervy having a position open over the weekend when things are this volatile. I saw that article too about the dollar's safe-haven status potentially weakening. If that's really happening, maybe USDJPY won't just automatically follow the risk-off sentiment. Could be interesting to see how the market actually reacts next week instead of just assuming it'll spike because of tensions. Definitely makes me second-guess my initial plan a bit. Gotta watch the price action closely on the open, for sure.

Hey @wwright424, you're worried about that weekend gap? I wouldn't be surprised if they just sweep the lows first to shake out anyone getting too comfortable. They love to engineer those moves, especially with the news about cooling inflation in Japan – that's just an excuse to push USDJPY higher. And that 'trust gap' weakening the dollar? Please. The dollar is always the safe haven, especially when things get hairy like this Iran situation brewing. It's all designed to catch retail traders on the wrong side. Just watch the spread widen like crazy at open, that's the real giveaway.
