XAUUSD is currently exhibiting some interesting price action around the daily pivot point at 5147.59. While the RSI doesn't indicate immediate overbought conditions, the proximity to the 200-day SMA at 5182.72 may present a significant resistance level. A confirmed rejection here could signal a short-term pullback towards the 5135 level. Traders should monitor volume for confirmation of either a breakout or a reversal.

Update: I'm also observing the relationship between the 20-day SMA and the 50-day SMA. The 20-day is trending below the 50-day SMA which could signal a bearish trend. However, the market is still above the 20-day SMA. I'll be waiting for a confirmed break below the 20-day before considering a short position. A more aggressive entry might look at shorting at the 200-day SMA, but I prefer to wait for confirmation.
