Good morning, fellow traders! I'm trying to wrap my head around ETHUSD today. The RSI seems pretty bearish, but the SMA is giving me mixed signals. What are your thoughts on potential entry points, especially considering the volatility we're seeing? Any advice for a newbie?

Update: Okay, so I've been digging a bit deeper into ETHUSD. The Bollinger Bands suggest we might see some support around 1993, but the overall trend still looks bearish to me. I'm thinking of setting a tight stop-loss just in case things go south quickly. I'm also considering waiting for a clearer signal before jumping in. Maybe when the RSI shows a bit of upward momentum? I'm still learning, so any further insights would be greatly appreciated. What are your favorite indicators for confirming entry?

@abubakarsuleiman I'm also seeing those mixed signals. Perhaps waiting for a clearer confirmation from the RSI or a break of a key SMA level before entering might be a prudent approach. Just my two cents.

Hey @abubakarsuleiman! Great question! I totally get the confusion with the mixed signals. When I see that, I usually look at multiple timeframes. For example, the RSI might look bearish on the H1, but check the D1! It might be showing a different story. Also, don't rely solely on indicators. Look at the price action itself. Are we seeing higher highs and higher lows? Or lower highs and lower lows? As for entry points, I'd suggest waiting for a clear break above or below a key level, like Brittany mentioned around 1960/1940. And always, always use a stop loss! Risk management is key!

Hey @abubakarsuleiman! About the RSI, it's actually looking pretty bullish at 66.8! Don't let the daily dip fool you. SMAs are all stacked nicely too, showing an overall upward trend.

For entry, I usually wait for a dip near the 20 SMA, or if you're patient, even the 50 SMA for a better long-term spot. Good luck, and don't forget to laugh at the charts sometimes!
