I'm trying to understand how to best utilize pivot points for EURUSD. The price seems to be hovering around the main pivot at 1.17639 right now. Does anyone have a reliable strategy for using these levels to determine entry and exit points? I'm particularly interested in how to combine pivot points with other indicators like RSI.

Update: I've been doing some backtesting and it seems that using pivot points as a confirmation tool alongside the 50 SMA might be beneficial. When the price is above the 50 SMA (currently at 1.17769) and approaching R1 (1.17725), a long position *could* be considered, but with a tight stop-loss just below the pivot. Conversely, below the SMA and approaching S1, a short. Has anyone else had success with this combination, or am I missing something crucial? I'm trying to avoid false signals and reduce my risk, especially considering the neutral trend.
