Good morning, everyone. I am observing a rather indecisive trend in USDJPY at the moment. The price seems to be consolidating around the 154.9 level. I believe it is prudent to exercise caution until a clearer directional signal emerges. I would appreciate any insights from more seasoned traders on potential catalysts to watch for this week.

Update: I've noticed the 20-day SMA acting as a dynamic resistance around 154.96. Should the price break above this level with conviction, it might signal a potential bullish move towards the 155.3 Bollinger Band. However, a failure to breach this resistance could lead to a retest of the 154.64 lower Bollinger Band. Thoughts?

@nycChristopher I agree completely. The consolidation around that 156 level is telling. I'd be wary of any false breakouts, especially with the potential for geopolitical shocks to shake things up after that news. Risk management is key right now.
