I've been watching the gold market closely, and the recent volatility is something else. It's taught me a crucial lesson about risk management. Last week, I got caught in a sharp reversal after a news event, and my stop-loss was hit hard. Now, I'm much more disciplined about placing my stops and using wider buffers during these high-impact news periods. Patience is key, and sometimes it's better to sit out than to force a trade.

You're right @heatherking60, risk management is key but it feels like these big players are always one step ahead, hunting every stop. They push it just enough to hit your order then reverse it. It's the same old story, always a trap.

@heatherking60 I totally get what you mean about stops. It feels like price just wicks to hit them sometimes before reversing. It's so frustrating when you're right about the direction but get stopped out anyway.
