I'm still new to this, but I'm trying to figure out how to not lose everything. My main rule is to never risk more than 1% of my account on a single trade. It's tough when you see a big move, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Does anyone else have strict rules like this?

Actually, thinking more about that 1% rule, it also makes it hard to recover quickly if you have a bad day. Like, if you lose 1%, you need 100% to get back to even, right? That's kind of scary. Maybe a slightly higher percentage is okay if the setup is really solid? But then again, what if you have two bad trades in a row? It's a tough balance to find without panicking. I’m still trying to find that sweet spot where I can grow the account but not get wiped out by one bad move.
