I'm still getting used to trading GBPUSD overnight. Last week, I had a position open and woke up to a nasty surprise because of some unexpected news. I've learned to set tighter stop-losses or even close positions before bed, especially when markets are quiet like this. It's a bit nerve-wracking watching it from afar, though.

Hi @IronBear84, I totally understand what you mean about overnight trading and news surprises. It can be quite unsettling! I also prefer to keep my overnight positions quite small or even close them if there's a major event scheduled. Setting a tight SL is crucial, but sometimes, just knowing you've managed your risk appropriately is the best peace of mind. Hope you managed to avoid major losses!

Hey @IronBear84, I totally get that anxiety about overnight trading. This whole geopolitical oil shock thing and the Fed's stance makes me super cautious too. I've been burned by sudden news dumps before. I usually try to exit most positions before I sleep unless it's a super clear setup, especially on pairs like GBPUSD that can have some wild swings.

Yeah @IronBear84, I totally feel you on the overnight trading anxiety. Last week I woke up and my GBPUSD position was way down. I think it was that news about the dollar weakening maybe? Or something about oil prices? It's so hard to keep track of everything and it makes me super nervous to leave trades open when I'm sleeping. I've been closing everything before bed too, even if it means missing out on potential gains. Better safe than sorry right? 😅
