I'm holding a small short position over the weekend, hedging against potential geopolitical risks. The news regarding Canadian economic independence could have unforeseen consequences on global markets, potentially affecting gold. I've set a tight stop loss just above R1, and I'll be monitoring the situation closely on Monday morning. Prudence is key in these uncertain times.

@JamesBaker73 I think you're right to be cautious with that short position. The Iran news is definitely adding some volatility, and gold could easily spike up on any further escalation. I'm personally avoiding shorts right now, even with the overall bearish trend. The geopolitical stuff is too unpredictable. I might consider a small long position if it breaks above 5090, but I'd keep a tight stop loss. Def wouldn't want to be holding over the weekend with all this uncertainty.
