I've been seeing a lot of talk about divergences on the RSI, especially on the H4 chart for USDJPY. Could someone explain how to spot them effectively and what signals they typically give for potential reversals?
Hi @GrayRiver55, I'm not the best at reading RSI divergences myself, still learning! But I've seen them cause some big moves. From what I understand, when the price makes a new high but the RSI doesn't, that's a bearish signal? And vice versa for bullish.
It's super quiet right now though, so maybe not the best time to spot clear signals. I'm more worried about the news on oil prices and how that might mess with the Fed's plans. That seems like it could be a bigger driver than RSI for now.
