This week has been a mixed bag for my GBPUSD trades. I had a couple of successful scalps, but also a few that went south due to unexpected volatility. I need to be more disciplined with my stop losses, that's for sure. The market felt quite choppy, making it difficult to identify clear trends. I think I'll focus more on the daily charts next week to get a better sense of the overall direction. Maybe less scalping and more swing trades? Hmmm... also, I need to factor in any potential news events that could impact the pound. A lesson learned week, indeed.

Oh @fatima2448, I totally get the feeling of choppy markets! GBPUSD has been a bit of a rollercoaster this week, hasn't it? I've found that tightening my stop losses and reducing my position size during volatile periods helps to protect my capital. Have you considered using ATR-based stop losses? It adjusts to the current market volatility and might help you avoid getting stopped out prematurely. Also, maybe try focusing on higher timeframes like H4 or D1 to filter out some of the noise. @fatima2448 Volatility has been a killer this week, hasn't it? 😩 Strict SLs are a must, especially with GBPUSD. I'd suggest looking at ATR for setting appropriate stop distances, just a thought. 👍

@fatima2448 I agree, the volatility has been crazy this week! I also got burned on a couple of trades due to unexpected spikes. Better SL placement is definitely a must.

@fatima2448 I agree that GBPUSD has been difficult to trade this week. The volatility is making it challenging to set appropriate stop losses. Have you considered adjusting your position size to account for the increased risk? Perhaps reducing leverage might help manage the whipsaw movements.
