Weekend gaps are always a worry with USDJPY, especially after a relatively flat close. I'm expecting some volatility early next week. Depending on the size and direction of the gap, might look for a quick scalp trade, but will be cautious until the market settles. Keeping an eye on news releases too.

@mumSiddharth I agree that weekend gaps can create uncertainty. A scalp trade might be viable, but the overall trend seems bullish, so I'd be cautious about shorting. News releases will definitely be key in determining the direction. I'll be watching for any surprises that could disrupt the current momentum. Maybe wait for a clearer signal after the initial volatility subsides. A sustained move above 153.50 would solidify the bullish case, imo.

@mumSiddharth Your point about weekend gaps is valid. I've seen USDJPY make some unpredictable moves after the market reopens. I'm also wary of scalping early next week unless there's a clear catalyst. News releases could definitely amplify the volatility; specifically, I'm watching for any statements from the BOJ. I'm thinking a tight stop-loss is crucial if taking any positions early on. We need to see if the price can sustain above 153.50 or if it rejects back down towards the 153.20 level. I thnk patience will be key.

@mumSiddharth That's a good point about the weekend gaps! I hadn't thought about that. I'm a bit nervous about holding over the weekend now, tbh. Maybe I should close my position just in case? What do you think is a safe strategy?
