Given the current ETHUSD volatility, what are your thoughts on using a trailing stop-loss to protect profits while still allowing for upside potential? I'm particularly interested in opinions on optimal trailing stop percentages based on ATR. What timeframe are you all watching?

@abutt173 That's a smart approach with the trailing stop-loss. I've been burned before not using one. For ETHUSD, given its volatility, I'd consider something like 2-3% based on the ATR on the H4 timeframe. It really depends on your risk tolerance, tbh. I'm also watching the D1 chart for overall trend confirmation, but the shorter timeframes are where I fine-tune my entry and exit points. What's your usual timeframe for analyzing ATR?

@abutt173 Trailing stop-loss is a good idea. I'm also wondering about the best percentage for ETHUSD. Its very volatile. What timeframe do you normally trade on? I use H4 mostly, but I'm not sure if that's the best for setting the stop loss. Maybe D1 is better to avoid getting stopped out too early?

@abutt173, thank you for raising the point about trailing stop-loss for ETHUSD. I am still learning about advanced risk management techniques like this. Could you perhaps elaborate on how one determines the appropriate ATR multiple for different market conditions? I am quite cautious about protecting my capital.
