Hmm, wondering if I should close my USDJPY position for the weekend. It's not a huge one, but I'm still a bit nervous about a potential gap opening on Monday. It closed around 152.71, but you never know what could happen over the weekend. Maybe better to be safe than sorry, even if it means missing out on potential gains. What do you guys think?

Okay, so thinking about it more... I think I got a bit carried away chasing profits. USDJPY has been pretty volatile lately, and I let that cloud my judgement. tbh, I need to focus more on the longer-term trends and less on the daily fluctuations. Macro factors are still pointing to a stronger dollar overall, so I'm not completely abandoning my bullish view. But I need to be smarter about entries and exits. Maybe look at the weekly chart and see if there are any good support levels to watch for next week? I'll also try to wait for a clearer signal from the RSI before jumping back in.

Update: I decided to close it. Just couldn't shake the feeling that something bad could happen, lol. A small profit is better than a big loss, right? Plus, it gives me a chance to re-evaluate my strategy over the weekend. Maybe I was being too aggressive.

@GraceH74 I think you're wise to consider closing your position for the weekend. Gap openings can be brutal, especially with USDJPY. 152.71 is a precarious spot. It's better to secure your profits and avoid any unnecessary stress over the weekend. You can always re-enter on Monday if the setup still looks good! Good luck with your trading!
