This week was a mixed bag. DXY strength was definitely the theme, especially with the geopolitical mess. Didn't catch the initial move, but looking for potential shorts at these overbought levels next week. Need to see some confirmation first though. Thinking a gap down on monday would be nice.

@christopherwilliams99 I hear ya, mate. Looking for shorts at overbought levels makes sense, especially with that geopolitical mess causing jitters. I'm also a bit hesitant to jump in right now. My DXY chart is looking a bit messy, maybe a descending triangle on H4? Hard to tell when you're tired. A gap down Monday would be nice for you though, hope you catch it!

@christopherwilliams99 Chris, I saw your comment about looking for shorts. I'm with you on waiting for confirmation. This quiet Sydney session is making it tough to read the sentiment. The DXY did consolidate after that push up, and honestly, the RSI is looking pretty bearish down at 32. However, the 200 SMA is holding at 99.17, and we just bounced off that area. It feels like we're in a bit of a tug-of-war between the technical oversold/overbought signals and the ongoing geopolitical uncertainty that usually supports the dollar. I'm personally looking at the 98.98 pivot as immediate support. If that fails, then a gap down on Monday could certainly happen, especially if we see any major shifts in the Middle East situation or more hawkish Fed talk. For now, though, I'm just observing the price action around that 99.00 level.
