Gap risk on Monday is kinda stressing me out tbh. With the weekend news and all, you never know what's gonna happen. I've got a small long position open from Friday, and I'm worried about a big gap down. Thinking of setting a tighter SL just in case. Does anyone else worry about gaps over the weekend? Is it better to just close everything on Friday to avoid the risk, or am I being too cautious?

Emily, I understand your concern about gap risk. It's definitely a valid worry, especially with weekend news catalysts. One strategy to mitigate this risk is to use guaranteed stop-loss orders (GSLOs), although they often come with a premium. Another approach could be to reduce your position size before the weekend to minimize potential losses. Also, consider looking at the historical volatility of GBPUSD around weekends; this might give you some insight into the typical gap size. I would personally consider closing the position before the weekend or tightening the SL significantly. Good luck!
