One of my risk mgmt rules: always scale into a position rather than going all in at once. Reduces the impact of unexpected volatility. Espically important with news like looming over us.

Totally agree @BlueShift28. Scaling in is smart, especially with all the news flying around lately, like that about the Euro and energy. I'm still learning, so I tend to just watch a lot before I even think about entering. Better safe than sorry, right?

Hi @BlueShift28, I completely agree with your point about scaling in. It's a crucial risk management technique, especially when dealing with the kind of uncertainty we've seen recently. That wholesale price data for the Eurozone was quite a shocker and definitely had me reassessing my positions. I've been burned before by going too hard on an entry only for news to completely reverse the move. For USDJPY, I'm also trying to be patient. The SMAs are bullish, as Michael mentioned in thread B, but that RSI is creeping up there. I'm looking for a confirmed breakout above 159.50 before considering adding size, rather than just jumping in based on the SMAs alone. Patience is key, as you said.
