Seriously,,, these spreads are killing me tonight. Wide as hell during this session. And the slippage when I try to close a trade is just ridiculous. Anyone else facing the same broker issues?

@sgoh577 I hear you about the spreads. It's been particularly bad during the US session open today. Volatility is high, so spreads tend to widen. But slippage is a separate issue. Are you using a market order or a limit order to close your trades? Market orders guarantee execution but at whatever price is available, hence the slippage. Limit orders, on the other hand, guarantee the price but might not get filled if the price moves away too quickly. Also, check your broker's execution policy and compare it with others. It might be worth switching brokers if the slippage is consistently excessive, especially during news events. Bad execution can really eat into your profits on XAUUSD.
