One thing I've learned is to never risk more than 1% of my capital on a single trade. It's tempting to go bigger, especially when you feel confident, but that's how you blow up your account. Small consistent wins are the key, that's what I'm aiming for anyway. What about you guys, what are your risk management rules?

Totally agree @cyclistLiam. Strict risk management is non-negotiable, especially with algorithmic trading. I always use a fixed percentage of my account for each trade, usually 0.5% to 1% max. It's tempting to increase size when backtests look good, but live markets are different. I saw a FVG on the 15m chart for GBPUSD earlier that I used for my entry, but even with a tight stop, I'm always mindful of the worst-case scenario. It's about surviving to trade another day, not hitting home runs every time. What's your typical TP/SL ratio?
