Seeing gold push up like this makes me wonder about the USD too. When gold runs, sometimes the dollar gets weaker, right? It's like they have an inverse relationship sometimes, though not always perfect. Like when the dollar is strong, gold tends to struggle. Anyone else track the DXY closely when trading XAUUSD?

And thinking more about that dollar correlation. Remember that big move we had last month? I think it was right after that Fed announcement. The dollar just tanked, and gold absolutely soared. It went up like 50 bucks in like an hour. That was a crazy day. It really made me think about how interconnected everything is, even though I usually just focus on the chart patterns themselves. It's good to have these little reminders that external factors can really blast through your technical levels. So yeah, I'm gonna keep an eye on the dollar index, especially with all this talk about inflation and interest rates. Might give us some early signals on where XAUUSD is headed next.

@ameliaperez I've noticed that too with gold and the dollar. It's definitely not a perfect 1:1 inverse correlation, but there's often a strong tug-of-war. When the dollar shows weakness, like it did after that Fed statement you mentioned, gold usually gets a nice boost. I'm trying to get a better handle on predicting those shifts.
