Fundamentally, I'm still cautious on JPY strength despite recent BOJ hints. The yield differential between US and Japan is still quite wide, favouring USD. Technically, the 200-day SMA around 154.3 is definitely a level to watch. A convincing break above that would negate some of my concerns. However, until then, I'm inclined to view rallies as selling opportunities. I'll be monitoring upcoming economic data closely for any shifts in the fundamental picture. Will reassess my view if we see a significant change in inflation expectations or monetary policy guidance. Overall, a neutral to slightly bearish bias remains until proven otherwise.
