I'm trying to scale out of my short position on this latest drop. Entered around 2070, and I'm taking profits in stages. Took like 30% off at 2050, and another 30% at 2040. I'll leave the rest to run, maybe down to that 2000 level if it really caves. If it bounces back hard, I'll just take my small profit on the remainder and walk away. Don't want to get caught FOMOing back in if it's just a dead cat bounce. This whole oil surge and the general market jitters make me think ETH could still have more downside.

Be careful with that scale-out strategy, @AshleyHall. Seeing a lot of whipsaws around these levels. The price is hovering near that 200-day SMA on the daily chart which often acts as support, but we've had some nasty fakeouts recently. Remember that dead cat bounce we saw last month? It's very possible this current move down is just a bear trap before a sharp reversal. Institutions could be loading up on liquidity below these retail stops before pushing it back up. I'd be looking for clear displacement candles to confirm direction rather than just assuming the trend will continue downwards. Might be safer to wait for a clearer signal or set tighter stops.
