This sideways action on BTCUSD is really making me wonder about how best to approach it. I've been reading a bit about Bollinger Bands lately and how they can signal potential breakouts or reversals. Does anyone have a favorite strategy for using them in these quiet sessions, perhaps to identify entry or exit points when the bands tighten up?

Actually, thinking more about those Bollinger Bands, I suppose it's not just about the bands themselves but also the context. If the price is consistently touching the upper band during a period of low volatility, does that suggest underlying strength even without a clear trend, or is it more likely to be a false signal? I'm trying to reconcile that with the fact that the 200 SMA is still below the current price, which usually implies some longer-term bullishness. It's a bit confusing when the short-term signals seem mixed like this.

Hi @GraceKing, I'm also new to trading BTCUSD and finding it hard. I don't understand Bollinger Bands much, they seem complicated. I just watch if price goes up or down from where I bought. Sometimes I see big candles and get scared to hold my position. Is there an easier way to watch for breakouts?
