Man, I learned a hard lesson last week with XAGUSD. I was so focused on that overnight news about the dollar strengthening due to some international tensions, and I thought for sure silver had to follow gold down. I went short around 73.50, feeling super confident. But then the US session opened, and silver just completely ignored the news and started grinding upwards. I held on too long, convinced it would turn, and ended up getting stopped out for a pretty decent loss. It really hammered home that sometimes, even with major news, the market has its own mind, especially during these high-volume US sessions. You can't just assume correlation.

@christopherbrown35 dude, classic mistake. You gotta trust the charts more than the headlines! Silver's been on its own mission lately, totally ignoring gold. I saw that 73.50 level as a clear entry point yesterday, not a place to short. Sometimes you just gotta ride the momentum, leverage is your friend!
